We are actively seeking highly motivated and talented Ph.D. and Master’s students to join the Tongji Flying Fish Research Lab. If you possess strong hands-on skills and are interested in developing cutting-edge aerial-aquatic robots, we welcome you to apply for the following open positions!
Research Directions
Our research spans basic theory and practical applications in the following areas:
- Aerial-aquatic Platform Design
- Flight Control and Multi-Agent Cooperative Control
- Sensing and Perception
- Task Planning and Motion Planning
- Embodied Intelligence & Digital Twins
Requirements
1. Ph.D. students
- Academic background: Master’s degree, or outstanding Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or related disciplines. Regular Ph.D. applicants and candidates with recommendations for admission (推免生 / Direct Ph.D. Candidates) are both highly welcome.
- Capabilities: Strong academic interest, hands-on skills in hardware development and programming. Good command of English. Prior experience with UAV or underwater robotics hardware is a plus.
2. Master’s students
- Academic background: Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or related engineering/science disciplines. Regular applicants and students with recommendations for admission (推免生) are both welcome.
- Capabilities: Highly motivated with keen interest in emerging robotic technology. Hands-on ability and practical programming skills. Prior experience in robotics competitions is a plus.
Note: For this year’s enrollment, we have specific needs and vacancies in the areas of mechanical engineering and power electronics. We plan to recruit 1–2 students with such backgrounds (this is a preference for specific vacancies and does not apply to all candidates).

- 专业背景:拥有自动化、机械工程、机器人学、航空航天、电气与电子工程或相关学科的硕士学位,或极优秀的本科毕业生。普通招考博士生、推免直博生均非常欢迎。
- 科研能力:具备浓厚的学术兴趣、出色的硬件开发与编程动手能力。拥有良好的英语水平。有无人机(UAV)或水下机器人硬件开发经验者优先。
2. 硕士研究生
- 专业背景:拥有自动化、机械工程、机器人学、航空航天、电气与电子工程或相关工科、理科学科的学士学位。硕士统考生及推免生均非常欢迎。
- 科研能力:自我驱动力强,对探索机器人前沿技术充满热情。具备扎实的实践动手与编程能力。有机器人竞赛经验者优先。
说明:针对今年招生,因实验室在机械和电力电子方向有相关科研需求,我们会更倾向于招收 1-2 名在此背景方向的同学(此倾向仅针对特定名额,并非对所有候选人的要求)。
